Our Prosperity Initiative was formed to help residents and policy makers lean into decisions that focus on cooperation and economic health, so we can keep prosperity accessible and sustainable.
What is prosperity? It’s the right to enjoy life, and have reasonable access to education, health, and housing. Only a nurtured real estate industry makes that possible. Fearful agendas that keep growth out are hurting our local economies and blocking housing supply. Open cooperation between elected officials and land development experts, that help curb the burdensome regulations that strangle solutions, are the only ways to keep prosperity strong. That’s why REBIC exists.
We are starting to see what happens when we don’t work together, and we need to restore collaboration. History has proven the choice to reject growth and development leads to a loss of prosperity quickly. And recovery ends up costing more. REBIC seeks to demystify the elemental facts of development and move the needle forward. This video gets heart of what we need to do, as people and professionals who love our region, to shift those conversations from closed to open, and from ‘what you should do,’ to ‘what can I do.’
