REBIC Board Member to Represent Home Builders on Building-Development Commission

REBIC Board Member Tom Brasse, of Faison Development, has been appointed by the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners to represent the Home Builders Association of Charlotte (HBAC) on the Building Development Commission (BDC), the industry board charged with providing feedback and guidance to the county Code Enforcement Department.

With more than 13 years of experience in the development and construction of both single-family and multifamily projects throughout Mecklenburg County and the Southeast, Tom will be invaluable in helping the BDC and the Code Enforcement department implement much-needed improvements to the permitting and inspections process, which REBIC and other industry groups continue to advocate.

A native of upstate New York, Tom received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the State University of New York at Oswego. He is a Professional Geologist in North Carolina, and a licensed Real Estate Broker in North and South Carolina. He also served as REBIC’s 2011 Chairman.

REBIC will work closely with Tom and other members of the BDC to ensure that issues affecting the building and development industry are addressed in a timely and effective manner. If you or your company experience any delays or problems with permitting or inspections, please e-mail them to [email protected], and we will bring them to Tom’s attention.
