Tracy Butler, Executive Officer of the Home Builders Association of Greater Charlotte, just recently became a resident of our region. She comes to us after a long history of successful leadership appointments in the Central and Southern Illinois region and was chosen from a national pool of candidates. Her most recent position, from 2009 until joining the HBAGC in January, was the Executive Officer of the Home Builders & Remodelers Metro East Association in Maryville, IL. Prior to that she served in many Builder Association leadership positions, including the Director of Member Benefits and Finance for the Illinois Home Builder’s Association. In 2016 she was awarded NAHB PWB EO of the Year.
Her pedigree of service echoes a professional committed to efficiency, but also innovation. And in only 10 short months she already made plain her vision for the HBAGC with her goal to reemphasize strengthening core resources to serve all the needs of an active and motivated membership.
Tracy’s strongest suit is her financial background, program development and refinement, and team development. Since being named Executive Officer in January of this year, she has already added Union County to the Association, worked with the Board to modernize the image and messaging of the organization, and is focusing on strategies to expand membership, update and modernize interaction processes, as well as create more synergy with local advocates like REBIC.
She candidly shares with us her measure of success saying, “The responsibilities of an Executive Officer are not easily outlined or measured, but proof of its effectiveness shows in the results of the association as a whole and the enthusiasm that all involved share for the task at hand.”
Tracy has 3 daughters and has been married for 23 years, and says her passions are her work and her family.
