Allen Dargins, our current REBIC Member Spotlight for December 2024, brings a broad and passionate skill set to REBIC as one of our Executive Committee members. Owner of Realty Resources of the Carolinas, Dargins boasts a pedigree that stretches beyond the visible view of this editorial. But because we’re so proud to feature him, here’s a peek into his accomplishments and designations:
As a REALTOR®/Broker and current Executive Secretary for Canopy Association/MLS/Foundation, he shoulders the responsibility of keeping one of the largest REALTOR® Associations in the region running smoothly and effectively. He holds the following designations to boot: Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist Designation (CRS), At Home With Diversity Certified (AHWD), C2EX, Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Military Relocation Professional Designation (MRP), not to mention a B.S. In Chemistry from Johnson C Smith University. A 2008 Canopy Leadership Academy graduate, and past Canopy Diversity Council Chair, he is also the RPAC Chair, RPAC Major Investor (Sterling R) giving him a global point of view rarely seen in our industry.
Allen has been married 24 years to his wife Kelly, has 2 children Micah Dargins, 21, and Mackenzie Dargins, 12. He is highly involved in his community and his church, the East Stonewall A.M.E. Zion Church. And this impressive biography wouldn’t be complete without the human factor. Allen’s hobbies include golf, socializing, and fitness, and he has an extensive bourbon collection, as well as a Funko Pop collection (700 plus pieces to be exact). And … he loves cigars.
When asked about leadership, he offers this definition: “Leadership is the ability to offer constructive and unbiased information on subjects that affect the industry. However, leadership also uses that same ability to listen and support the vision of others that might not align with their own beliefs.”
As a Life Member of Pi Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, Allen is quick to include that he lives by the “Four F’s: Faith, Family, Friends, and Fraternity.
