Rob Nanfelt was appointed by the PPPI Board in 2025 as the new Executive Director of the Piedmont Public Policy Institute, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization chartered to conduct research and present educational programs. Founded by John Crosland Jr. in 1999, he was joined by his close associate H. Allen Tate Jr. and other Charlotte real estate luminaries as appointees to the PPPI’s Board of Directors. They understood, firsthand, that every day local and state governments as well as the federal government are considering and adopting new ordinances, regulations or laws that impact the viability of the real estate industry and the business community at large.
