Community Meeting with Commissioner Vilma Leake

Mecklenburg County Commissioner Vilma Leake (District 2) invites residents to a community meeting on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Valerie C. Woodard Conference Center, located at 3205 Freedom Dr, (Entrance E), Charlotte, NC 28208.
The meeting will include presentations on how federal policy changes are affecting local seniors and provide updates on how the County is working to deliver continued support. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions as part of the engagement. Interested parties are encouraged to register online, ahead of the Feb. 2 deadline.
